Creaking rear end?

Cannot stand the creaking coming from the right rear...not a squeek, more like a creaking, clicking sound. Had the rear wheel off and accessed the torsion bar area thru the access panel. Squirted a WD40 type liquid everywhere I could, but it's still there...anybody?

Could be the CV joint or bearing?

Indeed we do and, believe me, you're not the first one here to attack a squeak with a can of WD40. If you plan on doing regular upkeep on your car, you should probably invest in a Bentley manual. Lots of pictures and how-to's for most jobs you'll ever have to do. The 101 Projects for your Porsche book offered by our host is also a must have for the home mechanic. Between those, the search function and posters here you'll have everything you'll need.

Except a can of 3M silicone spray - much better for squeaks than WD40

Thanks guys,
Actually, solved the problem, and yes, I was using a silicone spray...it was the bushing that held the sway bar, just needed some attention and some lubrication...not as serious as a bearing or CV joint...

Argo, you're right...I'll bet if I had a nickel for every time somebody on this board went after a sqeak with a can, I could take early retirement.
