hey guys,
The total cost of the paxton kit was roughly $5,000. My mechanic has already done one, so he knew what to expect. The kit came from Supercharging Of Knoxville. Beware, its not as easy as they tell you. A few of the brackets have to be either tossed or re-fabricated. Total labor is roughly 30-40 hrs (if you want a great job !) So for under $10,000 you can have a bad ride. I'll be happy to answer any??'s john |

Hey John,
Is that "Total labor is roughly 30-40 hrs" with the engine in or out of the car? I was going to do this along with a rebuild and was hoping the labor hours would be less with the engine pulled. Was cost the reason you went with the paxton vs. the whipple? Brad |

Brad, This figure is assuming the engine stays in the car. I went with the paxton because I didn't have do any internal $$$$$$ motor work. The kit w/o a modified impellar will give you around 6lbs of boost. Which is all I need to eat those vette's !! So far so good, I'm still on egg shells. Feel free to email w/ ?'s
