How to remove side bolts/nuts, motor mounts?

Does anyone have any tricks on how to get to the nuts on the motor mounts? I'm trying to replace the mounts but I can't seem to get a wrench or socket on those nuts to keep them from spinning. Thanks for any help.

Need a little detail. What is blocking your access? Is it the top or bottom you can't reach?

The bolts go thru then a lock washer and nut on the bottom, right?

My SC doesn't have nuts on the bottom of the mounts. The bolts thread into the engine mount.

That being said, I could easily get a wrench on nuts if there nuts where you apparently have nuts.

Stock mounts have nuts.

Need a better description of the problem.

Sorry about the missing info. I am referring to the two smaller bolts and nuts on the sides of the motor mount, where one needs to get a wrench underneath to hold the nut, whilst removing the bolt.

Actually I succeeded on the right side; you just need to hunt and hunt for the right access place and then contort your hand and poke around with wrench until you get the nut.

Replacing the nut is really tricky. I tacked the lockwasher with superglue to the nut, then wrapped vinyl tape with sticky side out on the end of my left little finger, then pressed the nut/washer on the tape, then poked around with nut/finger to find the bolt, then tighten bolt.

I'm finding that working on this car involves a lot of creative puzzle solving :-)

I guess if you were a real glutton for punishment you could take the back engine tin tray off but that might be more work that just wrestling with this till you get it.

I found my ratcheting closed end wrench works well on those bolts. It still takes some contorting but it works.

Yes, I thought you meant the large single bolt.

Get about two years of DIY on the 911 and you will find your fingers can do some amazing things with fasteners. (I ain't saying "with nuts")
