Guys, after sitting for 2 weeks and running great, the car starts up like always but misfires right away. have checked all the ignition parts, new fuel pump, etc. I am getting spark to all plugs and fuel. Any ideas? CD unit going bad? 81'SC This is a sudden problem.

Have you looked at the 'green cable' as it exits the distributor and makes a sharp turn? They often crack both external and internal insulation there and develop intermittent shorts which interrupts the signal to the CDI-unit!
Pull the 6-pin connector to the CDI-unit and chexk for the proper 600 Ohms resistance at pins 31d and 7 ... decal on side gives pinout. While monitorong the resistance, have assistant wiggle the green cable at distributor (or vice versa) and watch for momentary changes in the meter reading!
