I just went with the std size 49. Got it a pep boys (Bosch) for $133. Works fine

The one that works? Seriously. There are infinitely many threads on this, and infinitely many different responses.
Personally - I like the sealed ones. No worries about corrosive fumes or any of that stuff. But that's just me.

After you get a new battery, get a Battery Tender Plus from our host. Worth its weight in gold.

Any battery that meets the CCA requirement for the car and that fits. There are only something like 5 companies that make batteries. From what I read Johnson Controls is one of the biggest battery manufactures in the country, but they are sold under a multitude of names.
