Believe me, I'd like to see lower temps at 100 degrees, too, but so far no go.
I had them reclaim the freon, vacuum the system down, and then follow R22's procedure. It's better, but still not great. Does your "40 degree" friend have a completely stock system, or has he upgraded? Thanks. |
He has a late 70's SC with the York compressor and had it filled at a local Porsche shop using Freeze-12. Completely stock otherwise...
Is very happy with it but wants to get rid of the old piston compressor and we are going to switch it out for a rotary unit soon. No problems with the compressor but its heavy and not as smooth as the rotary... Send me an email and I will get you in touch with him. He is out of town right now but still picks up email. Scott,
That gent Joe is ref. is me.....I did recharge my 80SC with Freeze 12 and a York Compressor... the results were as good or better than R12. I have discharge air 45 and I have to turn the fan down to keep in from being to cold. This is in Phoenix ...I would never spend the money on R12 again. Oh yes I am still out of town but keep in touch with the gang. |

Did you get that W32.Klez.H@mm worm or the Klez virus fixed. It has sure caused me alot of hastle. I' m still recieving it from what looks like other Pelican head members on this board. The reason I know this is I recognize their names from here, and the way I know it came from your computer is your the only one I had given my new e-mail address to. My e-mail address on this board is different than what I gave you. It looks like my computer was trying to send out e-mails now and I am doing everything I can to find it and stop it. So if any one is getting it from me it should be fixed. I don't know how it works but I had no one in my address book except my brther. Please don't e-mail me. Lets keep this on the board Mike |
