Source for (used) Fuchs?

I am in need of one Fuchs wheel. It's seems as though the PO, who had replaced the original steel wheels on my '72 911T somehow got 3 real Fuchs and one knockoff. I have not removed all wheels looking for appropriate marks, but based on previous posts (thanks Warren) found that the back surface of the spokes on one is rough indicating a cast wheel as opposed to forged(?). I also noticed that the black painted area is different in that it comes to the edge of the rim.

Two Questions...
1)Anyone know a good source for purchasing a real replacement?
2)This knockoff is on the right front, since in may be slightly heavier, etc. would it have any effect on steering or handling?

Thanks!!!

Singles are more difficult to find. Even rarer are singles that match the 3 on your car (unless yours are like new). You can try Wheel Enhancement for factory-type refurbed wheels or Ernies (look in any issue of Panorama). Used Fuchs are found everywhere (Ebay, Pelican's classifieds, Rennlist). Place an adv. in Pelicans "for sale/wanted" section.

Other options:
- Find a pair that looks close to yours, then put them on one side
- Find one needing a redo, then refurb all four so they match.

For street driving, you probably won't tell any difference between the wheels. It's the safety margin with real Fuchs you should keep in mind.

Before geting rid of the wheel, check for the 911 part # and Fuchs/Fox logo inside the wheel. You have to remove the wheel to see them. They are inside the "petals" of the rim.

You may just have a different year or style. No logo or serial # confirms the knock off...

FYI: there is a 15x6 in the for sale area here on Pelican...

Not sure what yours has.

I remember my '73 had 14"

Good Luck
