Primewell tires..

Anyone have any deets on these? They seem to be the new rage in a semi decent performance tire and are ridiculously cheap...

Yes they are very good as I just got a set for my wife's 330i, very smooth ride and high performance all season tires! Nice tread pattern, they look similar to Hankook's or Nitto's. Anyway they also have 245/45/16 for our cars which is really good!

I scoured the internet a couple of months ago looking for anything in 245/45r16. To me they appear to be the same as the Nexen Tires. IIRC the Primewells are marketed as a Firestone budget line. Nexen N3000 seemed to get decent reviews. There is a Primewell copy of the now defunct HTRz and I read some bad reviews on that one. Just a few fuzzy recollections from my search. I ended up ponying up for the Bridgestone RE-11s. -J

Well I have not read anything negative thus far, and again I can only go with my own experience so far on my 330i. So far so good no issues, so for a budget ultra high performance it is a good bargain. I don't do any racing on my Pcar, for the exception of the here and there speeding when open road comes so I guess they will work fine for me.

I've been using them for several months now and I like them. I've ran into several people who also use them and not heard anything negative on them yet.

Wow this one is an old one! Anyway I went a different direction and ended up upgrading to 17x9 in the back and 16x7 on front and got Yokohamas S.Drives. However my wife's 330i still running good with her Primewells, so I guess this was a good buy after all!
