rayjay turbo removal

Purchased a 74 911, base with an old rebuilt 2.7 and some of a RayJay turbo. It had been sitting a couple of years and "ran when it was parked." Sure, whatever. I would like to get it running but don't know what or how much of the remaining parts need to come off before it will start. It turns over but won't fire. I have fuel, the pump is running, fuel at the injectors. Do I need to block the turbo pipes running to the air box?
