Where do I get a new clutch fork?

GH85Carrera 09-09-2013 08:20 AM

So how much "while I am in there" did you do? ;)

I'm still there! I ordered throttle linkage bushings with the fork. Have sume oil leaks, but can't really get to them where it sits.

Been doing any hard launches?

tobluforu 09-09-2013 08:52 AM

What the hell is that in the right side garage spot?

No hard launches...only owned it about a month.....it's a Toyota!

Is there a write-up anywhere on replacing the clutch fork?

There is a small dowel to punch out in the clutch fork as it mounts on the shaft. You drive it out towards the bell housing and pull it out with pliers.

Make sure to order the shaft seals x 4, and make sure to clean and lube the clutch shaft as you put it all together. I use copper anti seize or white lithum.

Drop the C clip from bottom of shift fork shaft where the omega spring assembly is and if your lucky the whole assembly drops off after you remove that fork dowel.

Many many threads on this.
UTSF and you will find them or check the 911 tech articles.
1 hour job tops if you have everything.

I ordered my shift fork and shaft seals from..... Pelican!
Who else?!
Good luck.

Drive out the roll pin (visible in your picture) slide shaft down, replace fork.

I polish all the casting flash off the new forks to help stop stress risers and possible future cracks. Gled
