Speedo pick up conversion from 93 to 90

i am putting a 1993 c2 tranny in my 1990 c2 but the speedo pick up on the 90 is from the tranny and on the 93 is from the abs sensor. is there a way to make the 90 speedo work with a 93 tranny installed. in other words, is it possible to get the signal for the 90 from the abs sensor as in the 93? some sort of conversion?
i looked into swapping side plates but that seems to be out of the question. so my only alternative is to go the electronic route.
any suggestions?

I have the same problem with my G50 conversion (which uses the 993 transmission in an early '89 chassis).

I have not gotten that far, but the guts of my plan is to replicate the ABS pickup with an aluminium plate and 8 magnets on the frong wheel hub. The actual drive is quite easy as the speedo just works off of the small pulse generated from the pickup by the magnets, nothing special.

I am not sure if I can use 993 parts (I have Turbo brakes), but we shall see....
