That is the oil cooler that is mounted to the engine. A good used oil cooler can be found in the classifieds or if brand new is needed, search the Pelican Parts catalog here.

It looks like your axle must be trashed as well. What happened?

Has an insurance adjuster looked at it?
Could be a lot more damage there than you think.

You must have the frame looked over for damage - that all the measurement nodes are at their respective locations. Do not overlook this with your insurance company!

So sorry to hear of your situation. I am remotely involved in DUI prosecution and I know it could have been so, so much worse for you. Good luck!

There may be a lot more damage to the engine than is apparent. The oil cooler is smashed into the valve cover/valve carrier. It may have also damaged the underlying cylinder, #6. At a min the ribs on the valve cover are probably cracked off.

I also see the front of the exhaust/heat exchanger is mushed. You will have to remove it and check the bottom of the heads to make sure you have not pulled or cracked anything there.

It is obvious that the whole rear bodywork has been cut off already. Check the transmission side plates for cracks. I also suspect that the shock mounts have been tweaked given the state of the shock. Takes a fairly large force the shear that shock rod right off like that. The body shock receiver may be out of round also.

At least you are well it seems! I'm assuming that insurance will total the car, no?
