Help with automatic heat motor

After a few months of intermittent heater operation, the autoheat finally went silent. I took the car to my local Porsche-saavy shop and my mechanic traced it down to a autoheat motor that won't move when voltage is applied. He can't find a replacement part through any new or used source.

Can anyone recommend a source for this motor, the board, or someone who repairs or rebuilds these things?

Thanks.

Take the offending part to a electric motor repair shop, in the Chicago area there has to be a couple dozen.

Overhaul Shop Found!

Woohoo. Hilarious vintage electronics survive!

I was digging around on Pelican and found an old thread with a fellow list member who runs an auto control computer overhaul shop, Systems Consulting...Automotive Electronics

Diagonstic is $95, and overhaul is $450, with the diagnostic fee applied.

At that price you may want to convert to manual. Or buy a decent "driving blanket".

No time to do it myself, and extra labor would eat up any savings.

These things cost what they cost. Much cheaper than boat or airplane part prices, and way cheaper than women!
