Question Mobil 1

Hello for those using Mobil 1 I was just curious as to the viscosity ? Do you use 0-40 or 15-50 ? Are there any great differences? I notice on the container of 0-40w it mentions European formula or something to that effect....Any comments would be greatly appreciated...regards jer

I use Mobil 1 15W50 during the summer track season, and then switch to Mobil 1 10W30 during the winter (no track events).

I use 0W-40 Mobil 1 in my 84 Carrera. Street use only.

The "european formula" is probably just a trick to make it seem more interesting. I've noticed that american companies often use phrases such as "euro spec" etc. to make their products seem more exotic.

15-50 street. Usually wait until WAL-MART has those 5 quart jugs in stock for around $18...then I stockpile like crazy!

15W-50 in the 911.

I have not found a source for 0W-40, which my Mercedes needs.

15 - 50 here also. But I'll add. I don't go over 3000 rpm's until the needle starts to come to life on the temp gauge.
