engine noise
 

1987 carrera,
I have a spark like ( tze tze tze...) on going sound at idle when engine is warm, may be it is a tapping sound...I have a stethoscope and I was wondering where should I place the rod to localize where the sound comes from?

Move it around until the sound is the loudest

I can hear my injectors at idle, try putting your hand on them to see if it's synchronized with the sound.

Also, maybe it's a spark plug wire jumping to ground? Look at the wires on a dark nite (or run your hands all over them if you're brave :-)) to check for sparks jumping out of the wires.
