Can someone help me identifying this part
Hi,
I am in the process to uild a car, and I would appreciate if someone can help me identifying in the below link the diffuser that is in the rear window. Does it have a name? is it an aftermarket? thanks http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...#ht_755wt_1172 |

That is a very common upgrade in Minnesota, the Land of 10,000 lakes (actually there are 11,842 lakes larger than 10 acres). This is a tow bar for water skiing.
The car drives along the lake edge towing up to 4 water skiers at a time. A common upgrade for the turbo cars is a set of out riggers that allow up to 12 skiers to be pulled at one time. You see these all the time at the automotive swap meets in Duluth, Zumbrota, and Protor. |
Thanks, I will get one next time I go skiing :)
awesome answer dude, take care you really make me laugh |

Hi Tony, but they do not look alike. I will check it. Thanks!

The one you showed does not have the light bar but it is probably an aftermarket bit. Either way, not a stock part for that car.

That is not a 993 bar... its an aftermarket part that was typical of 80's/90's. Last time I saw it was in a Per4mance Products catalog 5+ years ago. there is another version that mounts to the rear window and extends the roof line as well.

thanks!
