A/C compressor swap

I have a chance to get my hands on a sanden compressor that i plan to swap for the york in my 81 and wanted to know if there is anything to be aware of. I am not planning to upgrade the rest of the system but believe that the sanden is lighter and works better? Is this correct?

You need a bracket and might need adaptors depending on r134a or r12.

I am going to stay with r12. Any thing else i should know about? It in theory should work better than the york, correct? lighter, quieter?

yep... Should work alot better, draws less power from engine, and is quieter. The only want to compress. I've got one on the way to replace my york.
