I could not hold back, wanted to show off the new toys getting ready to go back into my '73E when I get it back from the paint shop this week.
Just finished re-doing my sport seats. New vinyl on 2 bolsters, new webbing, new hardware, repainting the black metal and polishing the shiny parts: Here are the 15"x7" Fuchs just back from Wheel Enhancement with fresh Bridgestone S-03s: And the new dual-in, dual-out muffler: Now, if I could just get something to attach this stuff to Tom

I'ts amazing how a few properly pplaced Porsche parts can really set off the room!
You'll have to let us know how you like the OEM sport muffler. I have been looking at different options for my SC and that is on top of my list.

I agree about the Porsche parts being an important part of interior decorating.
Those seats are gorgeous. The anticipation of getting it all put together has got to be brutal.

What is your exact home address? And do you leave your key under the mat?
Those seats are exactly what I need! :-) BB |

Yeah, I will miss sitting in the sport seats watching IMSA races in the living room.
But it has been a long 2 months of no P-car so I am willing to it up for the real thing!gaijinda: Does my avatar say I am from Charlotte? Uh, that's not right. I'm from Montana, yeah, that's right... Tom

Lucky guy...
I purchased a Prototipo steering wheel a while back. I set it on the desk in a room in my house. The next morning, I went into the room to gey my steering wheel and it was gone. I asked the Mrs. if she seen it...she said yes...."well where is it"?...it's outside, where it belongs...Yiiikkes !!!
You lucky dog...4 tyres in the living room and 2 seats and even an exhaust...give your wife a hug ( I'm assuming you're married) !! |

Well Curtis, I was married until a couple of years ago. I think the Porsche has the run of the house now. Along with the vintage race posters, sportscar history books, Panoz ALMS front air splitters, 43rd scale model collection...all my married friends are jealous.
Ron, you sound impressed with the tires, I'm sure I will be too. I read a few good reviews of them before I made my choice. Hal, I hope to be able to put shots up on Thursday. "Hans" will be back in the driveway Wednesday night! Tom

swbsam, they were pretty much in this shape when I bought the car. I did not have to touch the passenger upholstery. The drivers side seat had a 4" hole in the upper left side bolster and a smaller one in the lower left side bolster. I had a local shop replace those two panels and the webbing in the bottom of the drivers seat. I had the body shop that is restoring the paint on the car repaint the hinge/adjuster brackets. He did a perfect match to the original texture! The paint on the base I did myself and alot of elbow grease and steel wool to polish up the rail slides. I did use Autos International to supply the new screws for the hinge/adjuster brackets. Those things were nearly impossible to find.

Oh Man - you should go into the decorating business. Get rid of some of that fru-fru stuff my wife likes to have around. I see a real need for this service. You could probably make some real money.
"I see a car cover over this sofa - a few fuchs scattered around here and there - and oh - the sport seats would be divine in this corner" said convincingly with a limp wrist and lisp Jeb '79 930 PS: I love my new (800 mi) S-03's. They grip great and ride great. They are really an nice tire |
