Spare Tire tie down

A friend of mine wanted to know if the spare tire in a 911 is tied down. I told him I was not sure if there was a factory method to strap down the spare tire or not.

He was basically concerned with the spare tire bouncing around.

What do you experts know about this.

On my '81 there is a wing nut on top of a metal bracket that goes through the center of the rim to keep her firmly in place.

Doug, Thanks.

Does anyone know about the early cars like the 66 or even a 69 ? I hear the 356 had a tie down.
