Spare Tire tie down
A friend of mine wanted to know if the spare tire in a 911 is tied down. I told him I was not sure if there was a factory method to strap down the spare tire or not.
He was basically concerned with the spare tire bouncing around. What do you experts know about this. -Don

On my '81 there is a wing nut on top of a metal bracket that goes through the center of the rim to keep her firmly in place.

Does anyone know about the early cars like the 66 or even a 69 ? I hear the 356 had a tie down. Don
