Seem to recall it's on/by the front latch.

Light switch

As Daves911L stated I beleive it is on hte hood hinge. This picture is the light switch on a 1971 911T. It on the passenger side hinge.

Hope this helps.

Think parking lights have to be on... I know that's true of the engine cover light.

No, it's always powered. So whenever the lid is raised, the light comes on.
If you are working under the lid for any length of time and don't want the light on, there is an in-line dis-connect nearby. Follow the wire down the hinge, to just under the carpet - its right there.

Thanks all.

My 1969 911T does not have a luggage light switch. I bought this car 30 years ago and light never worked. So now I'm gett'in around to it and discovered no switch. The on/off metal bar is there.

I see the wires and there is power all the time. So it would be easy to put a switch in.

Anyone have a switch for cheap otherwise I'll connect through the glove switch.

Thanks
Steve

Here's a good solution to having a frunk mounted light switch - looks good, too.

The original switch is almost impossible to replace or install.
Canada Kev has the best idea!

That has to be some kind of record in procrastination of a project

Oh yeah it is a record - 30 years.

Now I'm retired so the busy work life is not in the way. Fun in the Sun and my Porsche running well

I'd like to take credit for it, but it's Wil's idea. I just passed it along...

Incorrect. The parking lamps must be on. LWB has to have the parking lamps on. The disconnect isn't there to do anything except connect/disconnect the wire. If you don't want the light on, don't turn parking lamps on. If your light always comes on, the switch is wired to something hot other than the parking lamps. There is also a spot to add a second light if you want to have two. It's in the same location on the opposite side.
BTW Kevin, that looks great. Almost undetectable

OK Bob, my mistake. I thought they were all the same.
I wonder what year they changed to always powered?

My 71 is always powered. No parking lights req'd. Just had the switch in and out for paint, wasn't a big deal.

I think just carrying a flashlight would be the easiest solution!
