935 Mirrors visibility
I am currently building my "track beauty". Yellowbird bumpers are on their way, whale tale is already installed, rain gutters are getting shaved..... The only thing I am not sure about are the mirrors. I love the look of the 935 mirrors plus they would complete my aredynamic finish, but I would like them to be functional. Has anyone tried these, how is the visibility?

Hello
They have some visability but you have big dead spots. So before you change lanes you have to turn your head or you just drop the pedal and zoom ahead left lane speed before you move over. You can do somepractivce in italy where outsidemirrors wheren´t a must and so most Supersportcars didn´t had them ![]() Grüsse |

The rear view with the 935 mirrors is very limited, how about 993 or 996 aero mirrors?

Where I live people drive like animals so I always give a quick look over my shoulder just in case. I think I am going with them. TimT I know there is the 993 option but I don't think they go with the ruf yellowbird (pre-1990s) bumpers. Thanks for the advice.

Hi Boost.
I had the same dilemma when I put a 935 mirror on my '76. i resolved it partially by cutting a convex mirror for it. Found one at the auto store, then cut it myself using the flat one as a template. Way better, but I still turn my head for lane changes. GeorgeK |

stuttgart,
I will post pics, I am in search of a digital camera for this purpose. The car has the engine and tranny out already so I will not be able to document from the start. As soon as I get the camera I will post the progress hopefully.
