What else should I do while the exhaust is off?
I just took my HE's off to find and fix a leak. Im going to put new return tubes and lover valve cover gaskets in.
What else should I do while im under there..oil leak wise. Im trying to fix as many as I can without removing the engine. What should I look for? Also any tips or trick for other oil leaks on top? My car runs great just leaks a lot so if I don't have to mess with engine removal I would prefer not to. One more thing....I was shooting blind but it looks like the oil pressure switch is leaking pretty bad. Anyone have a way of getting to it with the engine in? The clean spot is from me feeling around back there. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1380566560.jpg Thanks for all the help. |
Sockets, Swivels and extension should reach it, if you can see it you can get it.

you can get it, but the new ones will leak also, cheaply made, but then you will be a expert at replacing them. Not much on the bottom to fix beside the lower gaskets and return tubes, look at the rear seal area for wetness (engine oil/trans fluid) oil drain plug and cover, chain box, oil return lines, cylinder base for leaks, oil cooler for leaks. Most leaks are on the top.
