P-car things can I do while visiting San Jose?
 

My spousal unit, in a fit of insanity, bought me a seat on Bruce's engine rebuilding course September 17th for my birthday, so I am heading down to San Jose for that week.

I am into p-cars and chinese internal martial arts, so am arranging to see what I can do for both.

Any good pcar stores/wrecking yards/whatever I should see while I am down? I have monday afternoon free, as well as Tuesday-Friday evenings.

For parts yards, go to Parts Haven in Hayward. They are "recyclers". Lotsa wrecks in their yard.

If you have your car, take a drive through the mountains. Take the back roads down to the coast. Start in Saratoga and take rt 9.

If you have more time, jump on rt 1 and go south. Awwwshuum.

also check out jim and spencer at EASY (salvage yard) in emmeryville. they host the R gruppe meetings.

Oh, I don't have my car with me...I will be driving a lousy rental...the 911 won't fit in my suitcase.
