993 Rear Toe/caster links
Took my 1995 993 for alignment and found out that both the rear lower toe/caster links are bent. They are toe out and wearing & cupping the tires.
I was looking at replacement OE parts and for the price I could get an adjustable links. Any input on the OE and adjustable route? Thank you. |

Hi,
Unless you are doing a lot of track days (on DOT-R tires) and/or drive the car VERY hard, I would stick with the OEM parts in your situation for durability. Adjustable links provide a greater range of adjustment when the car is lowered to RS ride height as well as reduce squirm, however the rod ends do not last as long as the OEM links and require more frequent replacement.

Steve. Thank you very much for the quick response and the insight of the two setup. I am planning to lower the car to RS height. So at least there will be one less link to purchase.
Thanks again. |
