I just moved into a new home with an asphalt drive, and not remembering 10+ years of motorcycle experience, I put the Carrera up on stands in the driveway. When I cam home yestrerday, the car was sitting on the ground, jackstands had slipped off the T-tubes. D'OH!!
No damage to the car, and I'm lucky. Sooo, Put boards under your jackstands if you work on an asphalt suface. I really hate to admit to such stupidity, but my hope is that I can keep sombody else from doing the same thing. |

Funny you mention it. Yesterday I got the "my brakes are making a noise" call. Pad material fell off and ate large amounts of rotor away. Had to fix on asphalt. It was hot. I knew it would sink.
I just tried to work fast ![]()
