I have tried absolutely everything to make the speedometer work in my '83 SC--sensor checks out good, wires are continuous, speedo is getting 12 volts, wiring is confirmed correct hookup, unit was checked out and recalibrated by North Hollywood (twice, after I hooked it up wrong the first time around. I still get absolutely zero movement of the needle or the odometer. Question: could the fact that I entirely stripped out the cruise control when I restored the car be affecting the speedometer, since the "A" terminal on the back is the one that connects to the cruise? If so, is there something I jump or disconnect to put the speedometer back on line?

Hello
No the A is not for the cruise the cruise hangs on the speedometersignalwires. The are the outhers on the right side ( brown/ red wires ) Check the wire shematic on the tech section to find out witch wire goes on witch conntact. You don´t have to find the right cable from the sender as it counts in both ways. Grüsse |
