Euro KPH speedometer
Does anyone know what speedometer would come on a 81 Euro SC ? The car originated in Germany. Would it be a 300KPH speedo ?
And does anyone know if it is can a KPH speedo be swapped directly for the 86 MPH unit that was put in when the car was bought in to. The US ? Thanks

I think a very common US '79 or '80 SC came with a 150 MPH speedometer, no KPHs. After my odometer worm gear broke I had North Hollywood fix it and replace the face plate to the dual 160MPH/KPH version. But the speedometer had to be recalibrated for the new faceplate. Because the new MPH markings are not exactly in the same location as on the original face plate. The whole job cost me $150.- with about $30.- for the new face plate. NH gave me back the original one.

If I remember correctly the 300kmh electric speedo was available on the Carrera 3.0 and the Turbo's.
