Can anyone tell if this car has the Carrera Chain Tensioner Upgrade from this picture?

Thanks in advance!

The telltale oil lines are blocked pretty effectively in this picture, but I'm pretty sure I see one on the lower right on the passenger-side cam cover. So I'm going to go with "Yes".

Show the chain covers.......

Spencer,

Post another picture of the engine showing the chain covers. The picture you posted does not show the areas where the Carrera chain tensiner oil lines are located.

I think I see one of the small liens under the nose of the A/C compressor in your photo.

Look at the two photos below. The small lines that "T" off the cam oil lines and snake down the front of the chain covers are the lines that feed oil to the Carrera tensioners. -J

Carrera chain tensioners.......

Spence,

I missed the little oil under the AC bracket in the picture you posted. Like most people with better eyes, saw it as an upgrade version. I would concur with their observation too. The engine you posted has been upgraded to hydraulic fed Carrera tensioners.

Thanks everyone. The car is an hour drive away and I'm seeing it again and want to go with as much information as possible.

You definitely have it on the passenger side! Can't see the driver side.
