SWB shocks - Koni`s

So, I was thinking about why the strut towers had been extended and how low the back of the car was so I went and had another look at the Koni`s that were installed at the rear.

They are Koni 8210-1159 adjustable shocks.

I`m guessing that now Ive had the struts put back to standard these wont fit my SWB car?

Picture of the strut extensions on my SWB ( now returned to standard )

As they are now

And pictures of the shocks

Will they still fit? And if so, what size torsion bar should I use?

This is a hard question to answer. You will probably have to test the fit. My opinion is the 8210-1159 will be too long if you bring the towers back to stock.
Compare the 8210-1159 with the Koni red from my '71. Additionally the bolt holes are 14mm on the 8210-1159 and 12mm on the reds.

EDIT: BTW The correct Koni yellow has been out of production for many years, Paragon and some other catalogs will list 8210-1159 as correct for the older cars, however.

Thanks for the advice Gordon.. I`m keen to see what the SWB front shocks are now. I do have LWB suspension to go in the front though.

If the rears do fit though it will alter my plans for the front shocks.
