Dave,
Those are splendid shots. Please tell me what kind of Digital Camera you used to take them. I'm in the market for one. Thanks! ------------------ Doug '81 SC Coupe (aka: "Blue Bomber") Canada West Region PCA members.home.net/zielke/911SC.htm |

Doug,
If you like the idea of cheap, permanent storage on 3" CD-Rs, i.e., $0.79 for 160 pics 1600 x 1200 pixels stored in JPG or TIF formats, superior 10x optical zoom equiv. to 38 mm-380 mm w/ 52 mm accessory threads, 'handling' like a conventional 35 mm with motor drive, 2.5" LCD screen, ISO external flash shoe, 'InfoLithium L' rechargeable battery pack, USB connectivity, and the SONY brand ... get a Mavica MVC-CD1000. Price has dropped from $1200 to $738 since last October ... check at: www.pricewatch.com I just got one on Monday, and so far it is great! ------------------ Warren Hall 1973 911S Targa |

Doug,
The first eight shots were taken with a Sony Mavica digital camera (I'm not sure of the exact model). It's one of the models that stores pics on floppy disks. The last two images were actually done on a flatbed scanner. Dave... |

Warren,
Thanks very much for the "heads-up" on the Sony Mavica MVC CD1000. This is the very model I had been considering, mostly for the ease of the storage medium. The price of this model is dropping locally as well. I think I'll get one. ------------------ Doug '81 SC Coupe (aka: "Blue Bomber") Canada West Region PCA members.home.net/zielke/911SC.htm |

Dave,
I found an old diagram in an Intereurope 911 service manual that might be of interest to anyone trying to troubleshoot the backfiring on overrun condition, so I scanned and printed it, and color-coded the wires with map color pencils and rescanned it, and then resized for posting: ![]() ------------------ Warren Hall 1973 911S Targa [This message has been edited by Early_S_Man (edited 06-05-2001).] |

That's great - I haven't replaced my trusty Sony Mavica with this one yet because the price was too high...

Warren,
Thanks for the diagram! I 'think' mine may finally be working, but I haven't done the final multi-meter check to confirm. Thanks again for all the input! |
