Adjusting valves- lower cam cover question:

I'm going to adjust valves and change all camcover gaskets.

Is it possible to do it w/o draining all oil? How much oil will leak out from lower cam-covers if i take them off? (I knw it's messy) Can i do it and just top of oil later or will it keep leaking until car is nearly drained beacuse oil will find it's way from oil-tank back to cam-tower?

Thanx!

No need to drain the oil. Jacking the car one side at a time will minimize some of the leakage. Its a good idea to cover the heat exchangers with tin foil or plastic to reduce clean up time.
