Oil use less after tuneup!

I just did a complete tune up a month ago including valve adjustment and I notice much better bottom end and smooth power. But what I really notice is the cars oil use is much less. I already have gone 760 miles since the oil change and a lot of oil is still on the stick and guage. Before it was between 500-600 that I needed to add a quart. Anyone else ever notice this?
