Chrome or black trim?? are those factory options?

i noticed some 911's have the chrome finish on the window trim, light bezels, etc
my cars have the black finish, is this standard for my cars or were they painted at one point? should i keep them so or go with the chrome finish? I want to retain originality but like the chrome better

Clear anodized aluminum was standard for many years. Black anodized trim became available during the era of the original Carreras and Turbos. By 1980, black trim became standard.

I have a 1969 and a 75 which both have the black trim, was this changed from chrome or was that an option for those years?

Black trim wasn't available at all in 1969 and the only cars that had it in 1975 were the turbo and the Carrera. Most likely both of your cars have been modified. For sure, the '69 has been.

The stock trim is polished, then clear anodized. I'd suggest King of Trim for that work, if you want to get it back to original.
