Narrow and Wide (a day out with a Porsche buddy)

Boy did I have a lot of P-car fun a couple weeks back...

Friday night I changed my oil and washed up the car in preparation for a long, fun day of Porsche eye candy. The car was perfect and ready to go. Could barely sleep since my buddy Pete was showing up early the next morning with his recently completed project car. It was its first shakedown run... we'd start civilized with a really fun cars & coffee appearance, then off 100 miles to VIR and watch the ALMS race.

Quietly waiting for the fun to begin.

Look who showed up as we unloaded the car!

All smiles as we unload the car... it's 7:30am when we fire it up. Holly sit that's loud. 7:35am I get a txt from my wife, "WTF is going on out there..."

Neighbor kids come running out to check out what all the fuss is about.

Finally on the road!

Smiles, no one to wake up out here!

The Baby Turbo nose has a very similar slope to the 964 bumper that appeared over a decade later.

Such a sweet 914, mit 2.7 RS motor!

I hope it's OK to park next to the tent?

ALMS races really do allow you to get up close and personal to some amazing cars.

Holy déjà vu!

Same pictures many months apart.

Before I headed for the track I had just done a test fit of my splitter with red paint left on from before I restored the car. I didn't think the colour combination worked on my car so I did not use it, but it really has a different look on your car. I like it.

Great pictures of what looks like a great day out!

Sadly, one the Bodymotion (first three Caymens in the pic) techs was seriously injured on the tow home Saturday night. After 10 days in the Halifax ICU and recovery, he is now home in Colts Neck, NJ.
Please pray for the recovery of Pat Gumley.
Thanks
Bill K

Leaf (pine straw) blower.

I bet that hammer moves a lot of air - even at idle. Man, do I miss Fall in NC.
