How to Replace Targa / Convertable Latch Help
 
Does anyone know where to get the details on how to replace the front latch on a 1981 targa top or softie conversion. IE How to Install Targa Latch for Dummies

Its getting cold here and I would like to take the car out for a run..

If I recall correctly you just pop the plastic cover off and remove the 2 double hex bolts. You'll need the special double hex socket.

I took the plastic cover. I loosened the two socket head screws to allow the cover to clear the latch. It looks exactly like the front of a targa cover.
