Clutch throw out bearing,

Hi all,
I have an 85 Carrera that is going to need a new clutch soon.
But there is a noise coming from the clutch gearbox area. If I hold the
Clutch pedal in the sound go's away, There is very little shudder , though there is a squeaky sound when I let the clutch pedal out at normal driving.
My question is can I use the car as it is for a few more months? I have a longish drive coming up in a few weeks up into the Austrian Alps. I'm not planing on driving the tit's of it, but as you all know there will the odd ,"I can't resist".
Thanks Steve.

Noisy Trans

Sounds like input shaft bearings in the trans. When you push in the clutch, it stops spinning.
