$800 to redo seats?

Just rec'd a quote to redo the both seat bottoms. Is $800 total or $400 each a good price? It seems high.

Thanks Island. At least I know $400 per leather seat bottom (installed) is a market level price. It does seem expensive, though. The guy told me that it's the German leather that makes it so expensive.

. . .from German cows?
I'm hoping the guy is refering to the OEM style perferated leather. It is a bit difficult to find the correct perf pattern.

Yes Island, that's it. It's the OEM style perf. leather that's causing the high price, he says. If I don't find anything to the contrary, I'll have him do it. They come with high recomendation.
