1987 911 and 944 Seat Compatibility
I was looking into a pair of sport seats from a 944S. Do they fit 911s of the same vintage without new brackets? Thanks, Paul

Should work just fine, I have 944 seats in my SC. Others have done this as well.

Sport Seats
I have the early 80's Manual sport seats in my 87 Carrera. Yes the seat rails bolt right in with no problem.
HOWEVER, depending on the year of the seats and the year of your vehicle, you may have two different seat belt receptacles( either mounted to the seat or to the center mounted receptacle base, , I did. Simple fix is to order, from our host, the correct seat belt receptacle bolt so that your belt receptacle will mount to the seat bolt that is attached to the seat. Be prepared to enjoy the weight reduction and the comfort and support of the manual sport seats. |
