'92 911/964 wheels/tires

Gents,

Just bought the 92 C4 and have a question about tires and wheels.

It's fitted with ALtera (Italian) 18" wheels and Continental Xtreme DWS 225-40's on the front, 265-35's on the rear.

I'd like a more traditional look so would appreciate your giving me your suggestions for both wheel and tire sizes. The book says 16" are suggested. I've always had traditional Fuchs but they've gotten real pricey.

Your thoughts? (Photos, if you've got 'em.)

you could probably pick up a set of CUP1's for it for not much? if that's the look you are after.

Depends on what look do you want to achieve (e.g. stock, sporty, slammed, etc). IMHO, the color of the car also contributes to the kind of wheel I would like to put in.

I always wanted a 964 either in black, silver or grey. If I had one, I would lower it a bit and put 17" CCWs, just like this (with the permission of the owner of this lovely 964)

But if you want the classic 964 look (e.g. clean and pure), this would look nice as well, again with the permission of the owner of this lovely white 964

Here is a link I found at the 964/993 forum which you can look at and find out what you like for your 964, good luck

this forum needs some pictures!!
