engine loading up?
 

aloha i have an 88 3.2. that sat for 8 plus years. ive gone through car replacing most issues. it runs great starts right up. but i live on a mt. so i have about a 4 mile down hill drive before im on flat ground. im not excellerating down the hill and when i get to the bottom at the stoplight it starts smoking alot, also if im in town stop light to stop light it smokes.i hput seafoam additive in the fuel but it seems it was doing it prior to that, also i did have the injectors cleaned. but when i can rev it out abit then no smoke. i have installed a cat bypass, aftermarket exsaust, cone airfilter, i have not replaced the 02 sensor, could that be causing the smoke. i know theres a ton of threads on cars smoking from oil overfill etc.. this doesnt seem the same.

What color is the smoke?

more white than blue. if i rev it up before stopping its fine but if im cruising with traffic and stop it starts smoking, i can rev it at a stop and it clears out.

White smoke is oil.
I think you should pull all spark plugs and see what they look like. Also do compression test in each cyl.

And of course your 100% it's not overfilled with oil? Needs to be checked with engine running and fully warm at idle with the dip stick.

Sorry, but blue smoke is oil. White is condensation burning/evaporating off.

Depending on your engine's mileage I would guess your valve guides are worn.

When coasting on "over run" excess oil is sucked down the valve stems and into combustion chamber. Ta-da, smoke.

A classic sign of worn guides on a 911. The 3.2s are known for guide wear.

You might also try accelerating hard and then suddenly lifting off, bet you will see a cloud of smoke?

Bummer if it's the valve guides. Time for a top end.

Agree. A four mile downhill when the engine is not even fully warm is not the time draw conclusions.

Get it on even ground when warm, beat on it as Cooper says and let off the gas. If you see a darker cloud then it's time to budget for a head job. Not the head job we wish for - just the old fashioned, painfully expensive one.

Mind you, burning a little oil is not the end of the world. You can stretch this out for a long time until you get you finance straight.
