New to 911 Lore. Are 911R models worth $100,000 yet?

I am drawing that theoretical line in the sand, on value. Here is a general story on 911R models

Icons - Porsche 911R, the first thoroughbred racer - Butzi Squared

I'd like to hear about it if anyone has a great story on finding a barn find 911R in not necessarily a barn but in storage, covered with dust and got a great deal. If I decide to write a story I will be happy to mention shops that restored it, various Porsche businesses.

I originally started to look up 911R to look up name Jeff Mannix but even though Google led me to that story I didn't find his name. I met him around '70-72 in Hollywood driving a white 911R.

911R's, of which there were 22 cars made, are all north of $1.2 mil, now.

Another zero missing, i.e. about a production of over 200.

Not really a barn find but still a pretty cool story. My neighbor and family friend in 1969 had an original 911r. This was one of his many cool cars. I don't know the current whereabouts of the car.
Picture is from 1969 in Santa Barbara, California.

PS I think Japan has barns! And to answer your other question-- I think a really well done Clone with the right parts can easily be a 100K car or more!
Ahem... that car is a post '74.
