Question about SWB vs LWB and fenders

So I am going to backdate my narrow body 77 911S, and will probably go the route of purchasing early fenders for the front at some point, so that the backdate can be easily reversed in the future should I decide. I don't like the idea of welding on steel light boxes, and dislike even more the idea of bonding fiberglass light boxes...

My question is, will fenders such as the one in the following link work with my car? I am unclear on all the SWB vs LWB thing...

Porsche 911 Early Front Fender Great Condition 1970 1971 1972 1973 911 | eBay

For your application, the difference in fenders between SWB and LWB cars has to do with the rear wheel fenders. If you wish to back date a LWB 77 to look like an early LWB pre-74, you only need to bolt on new long hood front fenders, modify the trunk bulkhead/latch, get a long hood, and put it together. You don't need to modify the rear fenders as the flair is the same from 69-77. Someone does make a fiberglass longhood and latching set up that doesn't require changing out the bulkhead, IIRC.
