DIY Alternator- Fun
Well, I needed to replace my original Marchel Alternator on my 74 911, so I went to our host and ordered a Bosch to replace it. Here is the pic of my old and new Alternator I WAS going to install.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1384151484.jpg I am sure I'm the only one that has found the Bosch to not be a fit, so I guess I will call Pelican back this week to figure out what Alternator I need for my 74. Yes you can start laughing . . . . or enlighten me as to the right Alternator that will properly fit. |
That's nothing that some grinding stones and a five pound sledge won't fix! :D

Try these guys in Torrance. They did a few rebuilds for me before.

There is one model of alternator found on '74s that you can get brushes for (here). Let us know how yours went - I need to do the same.
