How can I tell what shocks I have?

The car is a 73 911 T coupe.
The strut cover I think, is black.
If I buy Koni's, will they fit?
Thanks
David

Black is usually Boge (although some of the new Bilstein rear shocks are black, just to confuse matters.)

Green = Bilstein
Red = Koni
Yellow usually Bilstein, can be Koni too.

I'm not positive but I do think you can use Koni replacement inserts in the Boge struts. The Bilsteins have a different "upside down" design and so are not interchangeable.

Cheers,
