Stereo wiring question
Hello all -
I'm looking to remove the Blaupunkt Reno SQR46 in my '89 Carrera and send it our for repair. I'm (unnecessarily) nervous about removing it and don't want to do any damage to the bracket, wiring or stereo. Looking under the dash, I see a green wire that looks to be plugged into the side black bracket (I think) - is this just a simple ground wire? I have another loose Reno stereo and it doesn't seem to have this connection or copper plate on the side. Should I just pull this off and remove the unit with the special U-shaped tool? Or if it's connected to the black bracket, do I even need to worry about it? Many thanks!! - Mike
