Monoballs!

Well,
After installing the ER monoballs, I felt a test drive was in order. This morning I decided that the sun was high, sky was clear, all in all a good day to go for a test drive.
I went out to one of my favorite remote roads. I can safely report that the monoballs did not have much difference at low cornering rates. I can safely say that when increasing the cornering force the mono balls seem to keep everything more stable, which means that the typical sawing back and forth of the steering wheel to keep the desired track path is greatly reduced.
While I could add additional descriptions, I will not, since there are a few members here who's panties get bunched up over such "non-technical" details. Nor will I post a link to the 35 minute youtube video chronicaling the above test drive.
I will say no speed limits were exceeded, and the center line was respected.

So I can safely assume no animals were harmed during the experiment and the Republic will continue to prosper (after a fashion).

I told you about the technical portion of the drive, rather than bunching up the undies of the naysayers and possibly causing a hemi flare up of said critics, the flick will remain solely in the domain of those who might appreciate it without judgement.
I may be too far outside the "technical" aspects of this forum. However if you wish to discuss the technical specification of the Nord Lock NLX series of washers, as they relate to CV joints, we could go there safely and with engineering abandon.

Hi Eric. Can you post pictures of the parts? You make it sound like it was an easy install, did you document it somewhere and I missed it? Sounds like something I'd be interested in doing, since I also travel the same roads you do. I wouldn't want to accidentally pop into your path. That would be ironic if we ran into each other.

Dammit man, think of the children! You selfish hoons should have your performance machinery pitched to the bottom of a well and then forced to drive Priae for eternity.

Rich,
The install was in the thread closed by Wayne, due to the delicate sensibilities of a few and their resultant whining and sniveling. The install was quite simple and quick. The tools required, are a large wrench to grab the top nut and apply 60lbft of torque, and either a socket or channel locks to hold the body of the monoball from the bottom. A razor knife to slice the stock rubber top of the bushing and a socket or stick to push the remaining bushing out.
Elephant Racing has a handy PDF on their site that explains how to effect the install, with a few more details than listed above:

I am sorry to hear that you have come down with Monoballs.

Also can someone explain what monoballs are?

1. would you do it again (for a carving type road car, not a track car)?

2. what did you do on the rear?

I like the positive feel when the car is loaded up, so yes I would do them again. The front end of any car has a lot of dynamics included in its normal duties vs the rear. Steering is a basket of fish that is difficult on the best of days, add high performance forces and it can become very complex. I am going to add some of Chucks sphericals next on the list:
Elephant Racing | Sphericals Bearings | Porsche 911/912/930
The rear will be attended to with some adjustable spring plates, polybronze, and Sanders TBs. I also have a set of Weltmeister adjustable sway bars in the wings.
I also have a set of Bilsteins on the shelf that were re-valved by Chuck for the Sanders TBs. Mostly since El Chup is my daily driver to work, I want to maximize any downtime and minimize the alignment string exercises, not too worried about the corner balancing since the digital scales are already in the shop.
Precise handling isn't cheap, in effort or cash.
