Vibration in front end at 85 mph

I have a vibration in my steering wheel at 85 that continues on the faster it goes. The wheels and tires have been balanced. It has new rotors and pads, no improvement. Tried another set if tires and wheels same result. It has poly bronze bushings with very stout torsion bars. Anyone have a similar issue care to speculate on a cause. What about the hubs, could they be out of balance ?

get your tires dynamically balanced. you could also have a slight flat spot on your front tires.

You don't mention checking wheel bearings for adjustment or repacking them with high temp grease.

bent rim?

i had a 280z that had a bent rim(s). i had the tires balanced ON the car. stopped the vibration.
problem is, that is a lost art due to the balance machines. i have searched 2 towns for someone that still does it, no luck.

check ball joints and tierod ends along with play in the steering shaft.

I would still double check the play in them. When I replaced mine, the tightening screw worked loose on the nut that holds everything down, so it worked loose enough that I could feel the increase in play.
