any intake manifolds to use other carbs on 911 engines?

has anyone ever seen any other manifolds for a 911 that were set up to use other carbs? something like the pics below. just sitting here looking thru the FLAPS flyer and seeing the price of a new Holley Dominator. makes one wonder if something could work for a 911.

I have seen a few that use either a two barrel or small four barrel Holley or Carter (Edelbrock)type carburetor. One simply used the CIS runners to a fabricated aluminum plenum on which sat the carb. Yeah, it hurts the eyes at first but they truely do function. Recognizining the current price of Webers...no shame.

I like webers and have many, but I'm always trying to think outside the box. and this seems like a viable option.
