As seen at Porsche Parade Europe...
Built in May 1972 – chassis number 9113600013. It's a prototype 2.7 Carrera RS. Looks like a 'wide-body' 911S but with 2.7 MFI engine. Very rare and very nice. Sorry, couldn't resist. Peter Porsche (son of Ferry) with my 2.7 MFI Carrera. What a great weekend it was. Two US visitors: Steve Childs and his wife, owners of the 2.7 Carrera RS shown in Excellence earlier this year. They flew over to the UK and rented a 996 for the duration. How cool is that?

Very cool car Keith, how soon til we see it in 911&PW? Your car is looking good as well. Wish you were coming to the Cinti show, I now have a P-car to drive =) I already informed Mark that I would have two cars at the show.

Hey Cornie, sorry, Dave, er, Cornpanzer....
Saw the 911S that you 'stole'. What a find! I hope to get out to Germany in a few months to see the '73 RS proto as the owner has just bought another extremely rare RS competition car. No more details for you yet but it will blow your mind!(PS - maybe I should change my 'signature' to read ...."and former owner of 9-second and 12-second VWs...." )

Besides, I have been thinking of changing mine to read "MTD Garden Tractor owner" hehehe (BTW, you should put the tractor on the cover of the magazine....more interesting than a Boxter)

Hello
Just to mention: The owners from the 2,7 RS proto are Uwe Kurzenberger and Gaby Mahler ( Thats what the GU 911 is for; Gaby & Uwe´s 911 LB is for Ludwigsburg and the correct number for RS, just look at old RS prospects )Can someone decipher DBY 860 M ? I think 911&P W will make a feature about the 0013. Sooner or later. The car allready appierd in the mag ![]() Grüsse |

DBY 860 M? OK, 'D' is a random letter. 'BY' denotes the area of the country (in the UK) '860' is part of a series of sequential numbers usually starting at '1' 'M' denotes the year (1974) All that system changed a year or two ago but is still loosely based on area and age.
