I've been running the same tires that I put on my 83 911 since last Oct. for the winter
season and lately the car has been slightly wobbly when taking a tight turn. should I be worried? I just didnt feel like buying another set of tires after last winter was up....any ideas? btw, the bridgestone blizzaks performed well, even in the harshest blizzard conditions. I know I shouldn't drive my 911 in a snow blizzard, but I had no choice.had to get home that night. i was surprised to be passing SUVs and other vehicles on the highway barely hanging on and/or stranded on the side of the road. this car is incredible. |

My dad has Bridgestone Blizzak winter tires on his Volvo. There are 2 different versions of Blizzak winter tires, but I can't remember which one my dad has. At least he's satisfied with them and I find them very good too. I don't see why they shouldn't work on a 911 as well.
Winter tires always feel a bit more wobbly/soft than summer tires. |

What size Blizzak's are you using. My snow tires always felt a little squirrely on dry pavement, but I think that has more to do with the very narrow widths that I use. I swapped them off as soon as winter was over.
BTW, I drove rings around SUV's in over six inches of snow. The only thing that caused me to lose traction was the lack of ground clearance. ------------------ Bill Krause '79 911SC Euro MY PELICAN GALLERY [This message has been edited by wckrause (edited 09-04-2001).] |
